The first National Stakeholder Consultation was organised by the Ministry of Economy Canton 10 in Livno, Bosnia and Herzegowina, for stakeholders representing the most relevant public authorities, industry, civil society experts, and representatives of other EU funded projects to engage in dialogue about the existing regulatory framework and to participate in the formulation of the concept and framework of MDoPI. In total, 36 stakeholders attended representing relevant organisations form all sectors.
The main aim of the first National consultation was to discuss the importance of mineral deposits in Bosnia and Herzegovina in relation to a new draft concept of MDoPI for EU level and to evaluate current regulatory framework for land use planning and use of mineral deposits. Discussion topics were developed considering overview of spatial data available, Overview of combinational rules and maps, Baseline assessment and questionnaire for BIH and results of the first preliminary workshop for stakeholders’ mobilisation.
